School

On Monday I had orientation for University. I am really excited to begin school on Monday. It has been something I have been wanting to do for a long time and now I am able to do it. I love that I have the opportunity to go back to school and get a degree. I have taken so many classes and earned many different licences, but this will be my first college degree. It is great that the kids will see me do this and hopefully they will see how great this opportunity is and follow in my foot steps:)

As you all know I was accepted into the Nursing Program. I ended up scoring the highest out of all of the applicants. My original core classes for nursing were supposed to start in January 2010. I had a year worth of pre-requisite courses. Since I scored the way that I did the Dean of Nursing asked if I would like to start my core classes in August instead. Of course, I gladly accepted:) That class had already had its 25 students but they allowed me to go into that class. And the best news..............I still hold the number 1 slot!!! My scores were the highest from that class as well. The only reason that this makes a difference to me is because I get first choice of the hospitals I will do my clinicals in:)

Now that I only have until August to finish any prerequisite courses, I am holding a pretty full schedule. My classes are going to be Psychology, Microbiology, Intermediate Algebra, Human Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, America Literature and English Composition. So I will be taking all of these courses together and finishing them in August and entering straight into my core classes. I think this should keep me pretty busy!! Between Mortgage, kids and school I may not see the light of day until August, but I will enjoy every minute of it!
